Mr Alex Duffy
Alex Duffy is a Chartered Professional Engineer in Fire Safety Engineering and is registered on the National Engineering Register. He has a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters degree in Urbanism Landscape Ecology from the Harvard Graduate School of Design., He is Arup’s regional skills leader in UNSDGs and co-founder of Arup’s City Fire Resilience Global Skills Group, which leverages fire engineering skills and expertise towards broader challenges related to fire safety and resilience. His experience in fire engineering consulting extends across a wide range of sectors including arts and culture, education, health care, commercial and sport. From 2017 to 2018 he worked for the Center for Disaster Resilience at the University of Maryland, during which time he was engaged on the Grenfell Tower Inquiry.
