Dr Dhirendra Singh is Senior Research Fellow in the School of Computing Technologies at RMIT University and Visiting Scientist at CSIRO’s Data61. He is an expert in agent-based modelling and simulation, cognitive modelling, and agent-oriented programming. Prior to his research career, he worked for several years in industry as Senior Software Engineer. Dhirendra holds double undergraduate degrees in Computer Systems Engineering and Computer Science and a PhD in Computer Science in Artificial Intelligence.
Dhirendra’s work on bushfire evacuation modelling was shortlisted in the Fire Awareness Awards for Innovation (2015). This ongoing project has won three merit awards at iAwards (2019) and was recognised in the Office of the Chief Scientist Australia’s report Bushfire Research and Technology: Mapping Australia's Capability (2020) and CSIRO Report on Climate and Disaster Resilience (2020).
