Dr Margaret Moreton is the Chief Executive Officer at Gender and Disaster Australia. She has a 40-year career history with roles in federal government, philanthropy, the private sector, the non-government sector and most recently as the Executive Director at the Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience (AIDR). Her areas of focus have included social policy and advisory positions, program management, and roles that support community resilience and wellbeing. Margaret works to enhance outcomes for women, men and LGBTIQA+ people, and takes a collaborative and partnership based approach working with Indigenous groups, researchers, practitioners and policy makers.
