Reimagining ways of working for integrity, inclusion and impact

19 Aug 2026
AFAC | Meeting Room 220
In a time of constant disruption, the way we work and the way we lead change has become as important as the change itself. For emergency services and community focused organisations, transformation is continuous, complex and deeply human. This session introduces practical, people centred approaches that help leaders embed integrity, inclusion and shared accountability into everyday work, even under pressure.

Drawing on real examples from large scale transformation across multiple sectors, the session highlights three high impact shifts:
1. Embedding trust and psychological safety so people can speak up, learn and innovate
2. Designing change with people, through co design, transparent decision making and shared leadership
3. Aligning people strategy, culture and operating models to reduce fatigue, strengthen capability and accelerate adoption

The session demonstrates how to turn complex change into practical, repeatable actions. Attendees will leave with ready to use methods for leading ethically, communicating transparently and involving people meaningfully - enabling their organisations to deliver stronger outcomes, lift capability and build deeper community trust through every change they lead.

Ultimately, the session reframes change as a shared leadership practice that transforms not only how we work, but how we show up for the communities we serve.
