About Dr. Korah Parackal
Korah Parackal is a structural engineer and a research fellow at the Cyclone Testing Station at James Cook University. Along with other engineers at the Station, he has been involved with wind tunnel testing, strength testing of building products, collecting wind speed data during cyclones and damage investigations. He recently completed his PhD on progressive failures of roofing connections during windstorms and brings this knowledge to his current project on retrofitting older houses to be more resilient to wind loads.
