About Karin Reinke

Karin is an Associate Professor at RMIT University. She has held a number of roles in state and federal environmental agencies. Her research interests lie in the areas of wildfire, natural resource mapping, pasture quality, remote sensing, and spatial data uncertainty. Karin is currently a Co-PI on two bushfire and natural hazards CRC projects that seek to detect wildfires using satellite imagery and produce tools for fuel hazard estimation, with the latter project receiving the Victorian Spatial Excellence Award for Environment and Sustainability in 2017
