About Nicole Lott
Nicole is the Director of the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) Futures Branch, with responsibilities in delivering contemporary strategy, risk, planning, research, innovation, analytics and levy management functions for the department. With extensive experience in driving policy change and governance improvements in public safety and justice sectors, Nicole has held key leadership roles in the Office of the Inspector-General Emergency Management, Queensland, Department of Corrective Services, Western Australia and the Office of Police Integrity, Victoria. Nicole is also the Portfolio Leader for the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authorities Council (AFAC) Climate Change Group (CCG) Focus Area 2: Championing adaptation and integration of climate change into sector governance, planning and policy. Nicole holds a Masters of Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, a Diploma of Management, a Diploma of Public Safety (Policing) and is an Associate of the Governance Institute of Australia.
