It examines how responders prioritise treatment and transport under uncertainty, what assumptions underpin common triage algorithms, and where those assumptions may not hold in remote or resource-constrained settings.

Expanding on modern heavy rescue doctrines, this presentation delivers a comprehensive overview of the major components within heavy and complex rescue modules tailored for industrial environments. The session introduces the practical application of a "hub and spoke" response model designed to offer scalable, high-tier operational support to isolated mine sites during major incidents. Additionally, it examines the implementation of an on-call online and telephone consultant framework, demonstrating how real-time access to specialist rescue expertise enhances decision quality and operational precision at the sharp end.

By bridging the gap between field execution and academic research, the presentation demonstrates how establishing shared data frameworks delivers measurable safety benefits and operational advantages for both the mining sector and the wider emergency services ecosystem.
