True resilience is built long before the alarm sounds. This session details data-driven resilience frameworks tailored to the unique stresses of mines rescue and emergency response teams, introducing practical models to assess cognitive loading, emotional regulation and recovery. 

14:20–14:40 | Same Psychosocial Hazards, Experienced Differently: Matching Responder Support To Risk Patterns

Abstract:

This session outlines data-driven frameworks tailored to the unique stresses of mines rescue and emergency response teams, introducing models to assess cognitive load, emotional regulation, and recovery. We will share early, sector-wide findings from Reflectal's Psychosocial Hazard Assessment (RPHA) conducted with the University of Notre Dame, and introduce a new research project exploring demographic risk variance across FIFO, volunteer, and contract emergency responders.

This presentation outlines the integrated crisis response protocol between Miners Promise and BSS, providing a practical blueprint for immediate and long-term psychosocial support to affected families, workgroups and responder cohorts after critical incidents.
