Prior to this, Alex was researching the effect of climate extremes and land-atmosphere interactions at ETH Zurich in Switzerland. This research is continued in his role with the AFDRS investigating the effect of Fire Radiative Power and associated moisture deficits on fire danger, as well as, researching various remotely sensed products used for improving the systems accuracy.
