Anna Brooks
Dr Anna Brooks is an Australian research leader in Suicide Prevention, Mental Health and Psychology. She is the Chief Research Officer at Lifeline Australia, where she leads the organisation’s research, evidence, and advocacy agenda.
In her role, Dr Brooks develops partnerships with academic and lived-experience experts to generate new insights into suicide prevention and mental health and translates this research into practical improvements in Lifeline’s crisis support services. She also ensures the organisation’s advocacy is grounded in robust, evidence-based research.
Dr Brooks has a strong academic background, having worked as an academic with a primary focus on research at academic institutions in both Australia and Switzerland. Her career spans research leadership, teaching, and scientific communication. She holds both a PhD and Bachelor of Psychology (Honours Class 1).
Through her work, Dr Brooks contributes to advancing evidence-based approaches to suicide prevention across Australia.
