Daniel Earl is the Chair of the AFAC Collaborative Procurement Strategy Group (CPSG) having been a CPSG member since January 2023. He has driven procurement outcomes across the WA Public Sector for over 15 years. As the Assistant Director Strategic Procurement at the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), he currently leads a team of 13 staff, managing $1.7 billion of aggregated Contract spend across over 500 individual contractual arrangements. His prior experience includes working in both centralised and decentralised procurement and IT functions at the Departments of Finance, Transport and Justice. He has performed higher duties as the DFES Chief Finance Officer and has directly the supply chain management stream of an ERP implementation/replacement project, including an associated procurement transformation. In addition to chairing the AFAC CPSG, Daniel is a member of the WA Transport Tenders Committee and the WA State Tender Review Committee, providing expertise and procurement assurance at a whole of government level.
Daniel is passionate about the outcomes achieved and opportunities presented by the AFAC Collaboration Model, and he seeks to ensure that procurement activities constantly achieve value across all stages of the contract life cycle, including within a hazard management environment.
