Genevieve Rueger
Career Firefighter,
Metropolitan Fire Service South Australia
Genevieve grew up in Adelaide, SA. She joined the Army at 17 year old and became an Army Officer and Helicopter Pilot.
Over a 22 year career in the Defence Force she flew Blackhawk helicopters and was deployed to East Timor and Afghanistan.
She joined the SA Metropolitan Fire Service in 2019 as a Firefighter and is currently in Recruiting.
She continues to fly Blackhawks in a firebombing role in the summer months, and is mum to Kayley (16) and Lachie (13).
