Jason is the Principal Engineer in Fire Life Safety at Transport for NSW. He has over 15 years of experience leading the delivery of complex, large-scale projects specialising in public transport infrastructure. He is recognised for providing strategic technical leadership in the development and assurance of fire life safety systems for high-risk, high-profile public transport projects, including underground and above-ground station and tunnels assets. He brings deep expertise across the full asset lifecycle - from engineering standards and risk-based design through to commissioning, operational readiness, and whole-of-life asset management. Jason is known for navigating complex technical stakeholder environments, aligning engineering outcomes with operational challenges, regulatory, and emergency response requirements. Jason has led multidisciplinary teams and influenced industry direction through his work on emerging challenges, including alternative fire suppression technologies and pioneering the first ever fire life safety series of technical standards for Transport for NSW. His ability to bridge strategy and delivery ensures practical, evidence-based outcomes in some of the most demanding infrastructure contexts. In recognition of his technical leadership and contribution to the industry, Jason was awarded the Barry Lee Technical Excellence Award in 2024. He is also active in the industry, contributing to the advancement of fire engineering practice through collaboration, standards development, and engagement across the sector.”
