Jomini Cheong
Chief Medical Officer, Fire Rescue Victoria
Dr Cheong is an experienced Occupational Medical Practitioner and Pharmacist. He is a Designated Aviation Medical Examiner, Authorised Health Professional (Rail Industry Safety Board) and is an accredited Medical Review Officer. He is the Chief Medical Officer for Fire Rescue Victoria, Senior Police Medical Officer for Victoria Police and is the VIC/TAS Chair of the Australian and New Zealand Society of Occupational Medicine. Dr Cheong has previously served in positions with the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and provided General Practice services to multiple communities. Dr Cheong is passionate about integrating the fields of medicine and risk management utilising up to date technology and evidence with the aim of proactively supporting organisations to efficiently and effectively optimise worker health.
