Justin Murray was a firefighter in the London Fire Brigade. He held leadership roles in emergency response and was a fire investigation officer. He has undertaken roles with VicSES (emergency planning) and the Country Fire Authority, Ambulance Victoria and Aviation Fire and Rescue in training and development. His career focus changed when he took a role with Nillumbik Shire Council working with communities recently devastated by Black Saturday. Justin now combines his emergency management and community development skills as Bass Coast Shire’s Community Resilience Officer. He has developed and is implementing the “Bass Coast Community Resilience Roadmap.”
