Karen Revie
Karen delivers creative initiatives for RANT Arts that strengthen community wellbeing, resilience and social connection. She is passionate about mental health and wellbeing, fostering social connections and amplifying youth voices. Karen is committed to strengthening community resilience and capacity for preparedness and recovery using art as a catalyst for change and engagement.
Karen is recognised for her work in disaster resilience, including flood and drought preparedness as well as disaster recovery initiatives, with a focus on community adaptability to climate variability. She managed the FRRR-funded Close Up: Drought Preparedness Project, which engaged young people in North-West Tasmania in exploring drought resilience through creative storytelling and filmmaking.
Karen previously served on the Northern Tasmania Regional Drought Resilience Plan Advisory Group for the Department of Premier and Cabinet Tasmania as part of the national Future Drought Fund.
