Miriam currently leads recovery and resilience planning for South Australia’s harmful algal bloom, bringing together solutions that balance ecological recovery, community resilience, industry transition and future preparedness.

Miriam has over 15 years experience in emergency management, disaster risk reduction and resilience policy in Australia and internationally including with Australian Red Cross and the Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade. Miriam holds a Masters in Social Change and Development.

Miriam is passionate about building resilient communities and institutions that are equipped to navigate and govern uncertainty, complexity and the growing impacts of climate disruption.
