Ryan Alimo
Dr. Ryan Alimo is CEO and Co-founder of OpalAI and a former NASA machine learning scientist who contributed to AI research supporting the Mars rover program. He specializes in physical AI, robotics, autonomous systems, computer vision, and advanced machine learning. At OpalAI, he leads the development of AI-powered technologies that transform complex visual and geospatial data into actionable intelligence, including 3D digital twins, spatial AI models, and wildfire risk assessment tools. By integrating embedded sensors, mobile platforms, and cloud-scale AI, his work enhances situational awareness and decision-making across infrastructure, transportation, and emergency response.
Dr. Alimo has led projects funded by NASA, the National Science Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Transportation, with research recognized through multiple innovation programs.
