Ryan Becker
Aerial Firefighting Capability Lead,
Metrea
Ryan Becker leads the development of FIRESWIFT, Metrea's advanced aerial firefighting aircraft. Ryan brings twenty years of technology development and aviation management experience for the United States Forest Service to the role, as well as experience as an airborne sensor operator on wildland fires and all-risk incidents. As the US Forest Service's Aerial Delivery Program Leader, he oversaw qualification testing of multi-engine fixed-wing airtankers from 2001-2017. He also led the Aerial Firefighting Use and Effectiveness (AFUE) study from 2013-2018, pioneering new data collection technologies and methodologies for evaluating the relative contribution of aviation to wildland fire management objectives.
