Sean Haviland
Magnum Australia Pty Ltd was founded by Sean Haviland’s father in 1972, building off-road haulage equipment for mining and quarries — including truck bodies, tailgates and water trucks. In 1994, Sean Haviland joined the business, bringing experience in agriculture and water technology, having completed a degree in agriculture. Over the next two decades, Sean immersed himself in the business, working across design and development, production, dispatch, fabrication, sales and customer support.
During this time, he gained a deep understanding of what drives operational decisions on-site, and more significantly, the importance of embracing advanced technologies and engineering leadership to improve safety, efficiency and operational resilience in his products and industrial systems.In 2012, Sean acquired the business and expanded Magnum’s reach nationally and globally — strengthening manufacturing capability through integration, refining systems, and investing in first-of-kind technologies.
