Stephanie Andrade is the Deputy Director, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Strategy and Performance at AFAC, where the external aspects of her role focus on national initiatives to build inclusive, diverse and future-ready workforces across the fire and emergency services sector.
With a background in organisational development spanning both the private and not-for-profit sectors, Stephanie specialises in translating diversity, equity and inclusion into practical organisational change.
Her work focuses on partnering with members to improve workforce representation, capability and culture through evidence-informed, systems based approaches.
Working closely with Champions of Change Fire and Emergency Group, Stephanie plays a key role in progressing sector-wide initiatives on gender equity, including inclusive recruitment, working in partnership with agencies, senior leaders and cross-sector groups to address systemic barriers and embed more equitable ways of working.
She is passionate about creating workplaces where everyone is enabled to contribute and thrive, and where inclusion is embedded into the systems, policies and practices that shape workforce experience.
