Tanya Lumley began her emergency services involvement while at university, working on high country fire crews and developing a strong connection to land management and community resilience. Now working in Volunteer Sustainability across CFA’s North East Region, she leads initiatives that strengthen pathways, processes, and support systems for CFA members.
Passionate about building volunteer capability, community connection, and opportunities for women and new members, Tanya contributes to major programs designed to strengthen and support people across CFA. Her focus is on creating inclusive opportunities and amplifying emerging voices.
In addition to her professional role, Tanya is an active volunteer firefighter, serving as a lieutenant with her local brigade. She is also a dedicated participant in the Firefighter Stair Climb, proudly achieving first place for individual fundraising in 2025.
