Dr Tehreem Chaudhry is a Senior Project Officer at Jesuit Social Services’ Centre for Just Places, where she leads climate justice and place-based research and initiatives focused on strengthening communities and advancing equitable responses to social and climate challenges. Her work centres on supporting community-led, place-based responses to climate and disaster risk, with a strong emphasis on embedding lived experience to shape more equitable and effective solutions. Dr. Tehreem holds a PhD in Gender and Community Studies from Hiroshima University, Japan, and brings extensive experience in social policy analysis, systemic advocacy, and applied research. Across the family violence and disability sectors, she has led and contributed to translating research, practice expertise, and lived experience into effective policy solutions and system reform. She is passionate about integrating lived experience in service design and delivery to improve outcomes for marginalised and disadvantaged communities. Her work reflects a deep commitment to climate justice, social equity, and community wellbeing.
